  • Priscilla Amissah Aidoo

Priscilla Amissah Aidoo, MBA, affectionately known as Mama Chekesha, is the Owner and Director of Akoma Academy and co-Founder of the Akoma Educational Charity Foundation in Ghana, West Africa. Chekesha is also the director of two of the four arms of the foundation, namely, Akoma Education and Akoma Food Sovereignty. She is passionate about improving the lives of families using principles and practices that cultivate the Afrikan mind for the purpose of Nationbuilding.

 

  • Jahzara Mayes Otoo

Jahzara D. E. Mayes Ed.D., is a Decolonizing Methodologist who seeks to de-emphasize educational institutions as the domain of European thought by including indigenous ways of knowing and perspectives into curriculums and spaces. Mwalimu Mayes is the co-Founder of the Akoma Educational Charity Foundation in Ghana, West Africa. Jahzara is the Director of two of the four arms, namely, the Akoma Center for Pan-Afrikan Research, Self-Determination & Nationbuilding (ACPRSN) and the Afrikan Cultural and Artifact Preservation Society (ACAPS). Dr. Mayes champions Afrikan studies particularly in the area of history, education, spirituality, and culture and has taught African American Arts and Culture.
